How did you meet and decide to work together: I met Helen through our children’s primary school when we worked together on the PTA’s charity events. I noticed that her power of shopping/sourcing was unmatched, and I approached her about my vision for this company. I met Alex in the lobby of my apartment. Whilst waiting for the lift we began chatting about a painting in my home. We immediately connected on a creative level. All three of us are naturally positive people with a strong work ethic and up for a challenge. And most importantly, we really enjoy working together as a team, bouncing ideas around and we love to laugh! We each bring something different to the table but it is our united passion for the creative process and the joy of making our client’s happy that binds us together. - Wanda
Where do you find inspiration: Travel. Nature. Local markets. Retail merchandising.
What are some signatures of your floral style and what are a few ways inspired readers can incorporate your look in their homes? Abundance, layers and colour. Whilst, we can do and we have done ‘paired’ back and modern installations, it is our nature to be ‘more is more’. We really are maximalists. We adore colour. At home you can achieve our look by simply filling a number of different sized vases at home with different types of florals or just one big vase to make a large impactful floral installation. We basically like full and big. - Wanda
The word or phrase that best describes your partners:
On Helen: Control freak! Queen of OCD. - Wanda / Resourceful. Someone you want by your side when things get tough and tricky. - Alex
On Alex: An amazing eye for seeing the charm in everything and everybody. - Wanda / My filter and translator. I love the way she can look at a space to optimise the layout. - Helen
On Wanda: her ability to think outside the box. Always challenging me. - Helen / Creative. Has an amazing calm ‘can do’ attitude. - Alex

Tell us more about your collaborations with Dangerous Dinners: Our first Dangerous Dinner collaboration with Sacha Yasumoto was held on January 2023. We all thrive on a challenge and Dangerous Dinners is certainly a logistical challenge. We are not only creating a beautiful space for guests to have a beautiful dinner in an abandoned house (sometimes in the middle of nowhere), but we are doing it all without electricity and plumbing. It is the ultimate form of artistic expression by turning an unique venue into something even more special and creating a lasting visual experiential memory in Hong Kong. - Helen
Dream event assignment: No budget, hands off, 3-5 day destination celebration.
Dream dinner party guest list: Alexander McQueen, Mrs Alice, and her mother, Zaha Hadid.
What are a few easy tips for novice floral arrangers and tablescapers: We love creating something visually impactful and appealing through layers, colour, texture, scale, reflection, and light. Light in the form of candle, whether in votives, taper candles or pillar candles. Candlelight adds the twinkle, sets the mood, and is so flattering. Our floral installations are usually loose and imperfect to create interest. So guests are continually seeing something new. By setting a beautiful table with flowers and objects, you are setting the tone of the event and showcasing the efforts of the host/hostess. At home, it is fun to take everyday object and use it in a tablescape in a different or new way. - Alexandra
It's the 10-year anniversary of your business, and you have an unlimited budget to plan an event for your clients and friends. What do you do?
Helen: I would love to install a very modern and contemporary look in a beautiful historic landmark. Everything would be custom-designed and made.
Wanda: I would host our event in a stunning colonial/historic house, ideally in a secluded rainforest/jungle location. I would decorate with exquisite silverware so it glimmers softly in candlelight, crisp linen, warm rattan and bamboo accents and add soft ambient lighting, gentle music to enhance the intimate atmosphere and lots of cocktails.
Alexandra: I would love to take over the China Club at Christmas and turn the whole venue into a travelling dinner party, each floor would be a different course ending up on the top floor which would become the dessert/dancefloor. Each floor would be decorated differently with antique and vintage Chinoiserie objects and I would go mad with floral installations, great food and gorgeous cocktails. And of course, there would be Mahjong being played.
