The psychedelic swirl of Adriana Castro's Zenu placemats will add a graphic grooviness to your dinner table. Each piece is different, ranging in color from chocolate to light black with natural, showing off the natural beauty of the handiwork. This intricate and hand-woven placemat transports us in time to the creation of the sombrero vueltiao (Colombian Spanish for turned hat). Woven in the Caribbean region of Colombia, the magic hands of the artisans of the Zenú indigenous community tell stories with caña flecha, a locally grown cane. Set of four placemats and four coordinating striped coasters.

• The caña flecha Adriana Castro uses has been sorted and split by artisans, who form each braid by hand. As this is a natural fibre, over time, these edges may come loose causing strands to poke out and look a little ‘hairy’. Simply use a pair of scissors to carefully snip off the flyaway strands.
• Spot clean the caña flecha using a soft cloth and cold water, then allow it to dry naturally. Consult a dry-cleaning professional for stain removal.
