What we are
Permanent Resident is a destination for distinctive furniture, eclectic home decor, and thoughtful tabletop. We feature an assortment of coveted designs that are new, upcycled, preowned, and vintage. Our selection is a blend of objects from original brands, trusted sources, and our own meticulously designed in-house collection. We believe that, like so many hallmarks of a stylish life, the magic is in the mix.

Mission
Permanent Resident's aim is to reduce waste by keeping more home decoration items out of landfills. We wish to lessen Hong Kong's reliance on fast furniture and built-in furniture - which is challenging to move and resell. We provide access to upcycled and preowned items, as well as our own sustainably-made, high quality options. While we do carry new items on our website, our selection is curated to strike the perfect balance of luxury and longevity.

Who We Are
We have been friends for fifteen years through two cities - first New York and now Hong Kong. We developed Permanent Resident to both ease the process of decorating a home in our adopted city and to bring our made-in-Asia designs to the global market. We combined Cinda's extensive fashion retail background with Lucia's experience in lifestyle e-commerce, personal styling, and interior decoration to create the shopping experience we couldn't find but had to have.
